Nothin sez PARTAY like balloons!
When people are far away from home, from their loved ones, friends and family, the holidays are a particularly hard time of year when the separation becomes very evident. This is even more so for those who hail from large families when the holidays are raucous, loud and fun-filled. To suddenly be away from all that, serving in a country where the majority are not Christian and even their own employer might not be Christian sure is tough.
The parish has migrants from Indonesia, the Philippines, India and other Asian countries. So, keeping all that in mind, the parish of the Immaculate Conception has organized an early Christmas party for the migrant workers in the parish.
Here are some photos of the event, hosted in the parish hall.
The entertainment was provided by these little kids.
And the choir, below, singing a selection of carols. The people soon queued up to sample the enticing spread. Yum. And while the adults ate, the kids had their own little private party going on.
