What do you say this is

Just as Jesus asked His apostles 'Who do you say I am', now I am asking you, dear readers, what you think this is.

Ok. First, the facts. The person on the giving end is blogger Mark, of Exsurge Domine (the title of Luther's Bull of Excommunication). The gentleman on the receiving end is Mark's brother. Mark is in no way, shape or form, an instituted Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. The events depicted here took place in a Catholic Church, my parish actually. And a priest, the assistant parish priest, Fr. Mark Michael was present and authorized this.

And before you come to any hasty conclusions, know that I was the person who requested that those actions be performed. (Yes, me, whose orthodoxy, if you have been paying close attention to these pages, should not be called into question.)

So, with those facts in mind, let your imagination run wild and let me know what you think this is.

Yes, it looks like they are learning how to receive Holy Communion in the traditional and lawful manner - on the tongue!
